The main aim of this research is to increase our understanding of how androgens are able to stimulate hair growth in many areas like the beard and axillary regions, while at the same time inhibiting growth on the scalp in the same people causing male pattern baldness (alopecia).

This is an unique endocrine paradox. Androgens also promote several distressing hair disorders including hirsutism (excessive hair growth in women) and alopecia, but these are currently poorly controlled.
Further understanding of the mechanism of androgen action in the hair follicle should allow the development of new treatment approaches.

Islamic University Madinah Scholarship

Saudi Arabia - Al Madinah Islamic University provides scholarships for high school graduates with diplomas is not more than five years to study at one of five faculties in the UIM.
